Nonprofit Leadership & Consulting

Throughout her career, Marlene has advised and led organizations ranging from community-based nonprofits and membership associations to healthcare institutions, youth-service organizations, and research foundations. She has guided organizations through periods of growth, leadership transitions, fundraising expansion, crisis management, and strategic partnerships.

Her experience includes leadership roles with Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Switchboard Miami, Care Resource, Alpha-1 Foundation, Alpha-1 Association, Cedars Medical Center Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and numerous nonprofit and community organizations throughout South Florida.

Approach Civic Engagement & Community Leadership

In recent years, Marlene's work has expanded significantly into civic communications, public education, and coalition-building initiatives focused on local governance, land use, neighborhood preservation, and civic participation.

She currently plays a leadership role in several civic and nonprofit initiatives in the City of Miami and Coconut Grove, including One Grove Alliance, the Coconut Grove Park Homeowners Association, and the Stronger Miami charter reform initiative.
